Heavy duty Fortens

Hyster has added the heavy duty H4.0-5.5FT to the Fortens range. Designed for heavier industrial applications such as paper making, bottling or construction industries, the company says the ergonomically advanced trucks come with a choice of powerful diesel or LPG engines along with Hyster's highly regarded Duramatch transmission.

Basing the trucks' designs around customer research, the aim is to improve both truck and operator efficiency. For example, the Duramatch transmission is electronically managed by the Pacesetter Vehicle System Manager. This not only governs the transmission functions, such as controlled power reversal (which helps reduce tyre wear, servicing and maintenance requirements) but simultaneously makes the operation of the truck easy for the driver, boosting productivity.

Fatigue reducing features include Touchpoint mini levers or Touch Control joysticks built into the ehydraulic armrest along with a full suspension seat, all made to increase driver comfort and create an improved and sustained work rate over a whole shift. Optimised cab design, high visibility and precise control are all standard features across the range.
