Three's tops for straight reversing
October 1st 2007

Bridging the gap between its warehouse and standard counterbalance range, Nissan's TX Syncro three wheeler delivers manoeuvrability, stability and straight-line reversing

Nissan claims the TX Syncro's threewheel design offers best warehouse manoeuvrability, while a double rear wheel delivers additional stability – vital for smaller trucks when travelling unladen. The company says its ability to reverse in a straight line is also a boon when reversing out of racking.

The ACpowered range extends to five versions and in six capacities from 1.25 to 2.0 tonnes, with compact, standard and High Performance options adding to handling versatility.

Risk reduction While Nissan claims class leading lift and acceleration speeds, the company says safety for both operator and surrounding workforce is assured by its Risk Reduction System, based around a cabin that provides high all-round visibility and dedicated controls to ensure optimum secure operation.

Manoeuvrability The wedge-shaped chassis ensures optimum manoeuvrability for the truck. Coupled to the standard double rear wheel, an overall width is of just 1070mm (on the smallest models) delivers high stability and load capacity, especially at high lift heights. Nissan says its new AC TECH controller provides both maximum performance and economy. Five function keys can also be used to adjust the truck's performance to ensure the safest operating parameters according to the operator's experience, the requirements of the load or the handling conditions.

Comfort A wide, spacious cabin with multi-adjustable suspension seat and adjustable steering wheel means drivers can select their preferred driving position. Pedal layout is automotive style and hydraulic levers are located immediately next to the seat.

Fingertip controls are optional.

Fuzzy Logic Control aids smooth acceleration while deceleration takes place automatically when the opposite travel direction is engaged or when the foot is lifted from the accelerator pedal.

Uptime Three regenerative braking systems, a load sensing steering system and Auto Power Off working through the AC TECH controller increase working hours from each charge.

Service intervals are 1200 hours. A Built In Test Equipment (BITE) module enables engineers to perform diagnostics through the instrument panel. Compact, standard and high performance versions are available.
