Handling Blitz in tight spaces
April 1st 2006

Handling Blitz in tight spaces Featuring Featuring high levels of stability and manoeuvrability, Cesab's new 24V electric lift truck (available with lift capacities from 1 to 1.5 tons) is reported to be suitable for all types of working conditions, including handling inside containers.

The Blitz 24 100-130-150 model is powered by an asynchronous electric motor (AC Technology) which enhances smooth travel, manoeuvrability and performance. The rear drive system also ensures quick handling in all conditions.

Thanks to the simplicity of the 24V electrical system, maintenance is kept to a minimum, and efficiency maximised. The truck's principal parameters such as braking, speed and acceleration can all be programmed, enabling customisation to suit application, increasing productivity.

As well as being highly manoeuvrable, the new truck has an overhead guard with clearance of only 1980 mm, enabling it to operate in complete safety even in restricted areas such as container interiors.

The three-wheel design provides enhanced stability - thanks to its low centre of gravity and precise drive, the truck can be used in complete security and safety even on 6% slopes. The single rear wheel can be rotated through 180° (90° each way) which, combined with the electronic differential, provides rapid and precise handling in all conditions, with reduced operator fatigue.

Despite its compact size, the Blitz 24 provides comfort and protection for the driver, who can get on and off the driving seat quickly and easily. L (Low), H (High) and P (Programmable, via the console) driving modes can be selected by simply pressing the buttons on the steering column.

A special "Turtle" mode can also be used, which quickly limits the speed to a set range for handling in challenging conditions or with fragile loads.
