Enhanced flooded battery April 1st 2008 Exide Technologies (CMP
Batteries) can now offer
customers a 'Copper
Stretched Metal' battery
as part of the Classic
range. It is special in that
it has a negative copper
expanded metal grid
design for high
performance.
The battery has been
designed for use during
heavy-duty warehouse
operations involving high
current-draw applications,
including high bay reach
trucks, VNAs and bigger
counterbalance.
The company says the
biggest benefit
brought by the technology
is the significant energy
gain compared with
standard flooded batteries.
Tests have shown that the
CSM batteries provide an
overall improvement in
performance. This
includes 5% gain
while driving, a 6.5%
energy increase
during acceleration
and 8.5%
improvement in power
during lifting
operations. The
batteries have the same
dimensions and weight as
standard batteries but have
a longer operating life,
which allows improved
performance and
productivity. More articles from CMP Batteries Limited/ Exide Technologies: |
