Cost saving chargers
February 1st 2007 EnerSys has introduced a new range of Hawker high frequency (HF) chargers with the launch of the Lifetech series of single-phase multicapacity units for charging vented and gel motive power batteries. Developed as a costeffective and efficient accessory for flooded and VRLA batteries, particularly Hawker's Perfect Plus and Evolution series, the Lifetech range comprises 24 volt single phase multi-capacity chargers. The chargers are both lightweight and compact enabling them to be wall-mounted. Ionic mixing by pulse currents to ensure optimum mixing of the electrolyte and the standard charging profile allows a charging time of between just seven and 14 hours. Chargers at the top end of the Lifetech range can be equipped with a pump for pneumetic electrolyte mixing which will reduce charging times still further whilst also enabling efficient opportunity charging.
