October 1st 2007 Al-Vac says its new Batlift
attachment enables forklifts
to handle loads of almost
any shape or size up to five
tonnes. Able to lift and
power tilt loads through 90°,
this simplifies the safe, swift
and simple manoeuvring,
both horizontally and
vertically, of heavy or
unwieldy objects such as
concrete products, stone
blocks and steel plates,
according to the company.
The automatic batterypowered
vacuum pump will
run for eight hours before it
needs to be recharged by
the integral charger. An
automatic 'low vacuum'
warning is given when the
power is running low.
