The weigh forward
April 1st 2005

Avery Weigh-Tronix says its Weighman Xtra is designed to increase revenue, lower cost and improve efficiency for any vehicle weighing application.

Windows-based the flexible package supports the latest Microsoft operating systems.

All data is stored on an SQL database, which is capable of handling large amounts of information and multi-stage, multi-location functions.

According to Avery, Weighman Xtra captures the essential information required for each transaction and requires only minimal data entry – reducing input errors. Short cut keys are easily set up.

Unmanned sites and driver operated systems can capture data via swipe card or simple key press entry while a vehicle marshalling module helps improve site security and assist the flow of traffic over the ‘bridge’. A variety of control devices, such as traffic lights etc., can be incorporated to ensure correct vehicle positioning.
