Enhances ERP functionality

Following investment in Scala ERP, IT service company, Anlisco, gained the ability to control and maintain accurate records on some 12,000 items held in its warehouse. However, in the warehouse it was only accessible via static, networked PCs, which proved very restrictive.

The solution was found close at hand from Mnetics a division of Anlisco itself that specialises in mobile data network solutions in the form of a powerful, flexible communication platform called Meteor.

Developed to extend the reach and functionality of any ERP, Meteor acts as middleware, using an RF terminal server to collect data in the warehouse. It enables the scanning of stock and locations with ease and speed, regardless of height or distance away from a static PC.

This has dramatically improved Anliscos putaway and picking processes and enabled optimum use to be made of available space.
