Multi-interface cargo tracking October 1st 2005 Codetrack is a new multiinterface system for tracking cargo and containers. It handles shipments and deliveries at depots around the world.
Codetrack originated from Codeway's successful barcode system for controlling vehicle distribution at ports with Roll On-Roll Off (RoRo) operations.
Codetrack is a fast, simple way to capture important data. Cargo handlers use rugged handheld computers to scan the unique barcode on each item and record its status and movements.
Codetrack does away with manual errors during loading and ensures accurate manifests. Other parties in the supply chain avoid costly delays.
Codetrack will process data from manufacturers and distributors, forwarding agents, shipping companies and sub-contractors.
Ports around the world from have been using the original system for years.
Gothenburg, Southampton and Le Havre have now installed Codetrack, the latest version, to communicate with several shipping lines.
The new Codetrack SQLbased software integrates with state-of-the-art Dolphin mobile computers from Hand Held Products.
These run Windows Mobile 2003 as a batch or RF (Radio Frequency) platform, with GPRS communication available when required. |
