Logopak, specialist supplier of industrial print & apply labelling systems chose September’s PPMA show to launch a major new range of machines.

For the first time the company revealed two of its newly 500 range of print & apply labellers - a very high speed side of pack unit (110ppm) and a high speed front of pack unit (85ppm).

The 500 range has been developed in response to changes in market requirements for print & apply labellers across Europe over the last few years.

The ergonomically designed 500 range incorporates many new features including an easy to remove thermal ribbon cassette, which according to the company is the first to be seen in a truly automatic labelling system. A removable drive roller assembly is also being developed for this unit. Both of these features contribute to making the unit particularly easy to service.

The new 500 range will eventually encompass a small to large range of labellers and print widths, allowing the same body and components to be used for tasks ranging from single product, through tray labelling and up to pallet labelling in production sites.

Changes to the printing width on the same dot pattern can be simply carried out by the end user removing one print head and inserting the other. The machine detects which head has been fitted and changes the software to suit.

Changes between dot patterns (8 to 12 or 24 dot) are just as simple, but need two software switches to be enabled.
