Available from European partner, Maxatec, Cognative Solutions has launched a new compact industrial thermal barcode and label printer range designed to bridge the gap between midrange and desktop printers.

Models in the C Series have print speeds of 6 or 8 inches per second and are said to provide big-box productivity at desktop prices.

The reliable, rugged allmetal mechanism enables the printing of up to 10,000 labels per day, while the 16mB memory is claimed to be the most offered in the market. The menu driven LCD control enables easy setup without a computer and the 32bit 200 MIPS processor aids fast throughput and first label out speed.

Other features include a large roll capacity for volume applications and continuous printing
