Upside down strapper December 1st 2005 In a first for strapping specialist, Mosca Direct, timber mill James Jones & Sons is using a machine upside down to prevent blockage by dust and debris.
The ROMRI from Mosca is specially designed to handle timber bundles.
The space saving machine features a split arch, which opens to let the product pass. Once the collated bundle is in position, the arch closes to apply the polypropylene strap and then opens again to allow the strapped product to proceed.
Recognising the dust and debris from the timber could clog the machine, Mosca mounted the unit upside down.
This means that the timber and any debris simply falls on to the conveyor after strapping. More articles from Mosca Direct Ltd: |
