Lower shipping costs case solved

Using Crocodile Packaging's reusable clip together cases, Contour Premium Aircraft Seating has seen shipping costs for one of its customers drop significantly.

The reusable cases are manufactured from oriented strandboard (OSB) and feature an integral plywood 4-way entry pallet base. As well as being exempt from international ISPM 15 import restrictions, this configuration ensures the cases are sufficiently robust to be double stacked in transit, enabling reduced costs through full utilisation of the shipping space.

The pallet bases are strong enough to be used in production, negating the need for a slave pallet. As well as reducing costs, this eliminates the time spent transferring the finished product to the shipping pallet.

Using the OSB cases, the potential problem of splinters has also been overcome.
