Waste-free packaging

Linpac Materials Handling is supplying packaging to component manufacturer Federal-Mogul for transportation of piston units for a new V6 diesel engine developed by Ford Motor Company and PSA Peugeot Citroen.

As part of its tender submission for the supply of the piston assemblies, Federal-Mogul had to source a packaging solution that would offer optimum protection to the parts during long journeys.

Fully reusable and not requiring any additional packaging materials, Linpacs plastic piston box is fully compliant with Fords requirement for waste-free packaging systems.

Durable construction gives maximum protection to the parts during transit, with moulded inlays in the base ensuring that the cargo stays firmly in place.
