Quiet air cushion machines October 1st 2004 A new generation of air cushion machines is available from UK agent, Thames Packaging Solutions.
The L-Pack machines are said to be extremely quiet and do not require a compressor as they use their own internal air source. No larger than a desktop PC, they seal air cushions at low temperatures. The company says this ensures the cushions are sealed consistently, while making operation safe and reliable. No maintenance is needed.
Three models in the CM series cover small, medium and large volume users. The CM delivers up to 7200 air cushions per hour. It uses pre-welded and perforated rolls of anti-static material that can be loaded in about 15sec. One roll is said to produce the packaging equivalent of seven bags of loose fill chips at a lower cost. |
