Pre-distribution labelling solution

Palletways has unveiled a new web-based consignment order entry system, which enables customers to pre-label their goods prior to collection.

Palletways has invested in Cyberstation, developed by specialist in online technology for the pallet and parcels industry, Neopost Logistics Systems, to enhance consignment data entry and enable later order cut off points.

Customers simply access Cyberstation on the internet and enter their consignment data including the number of physical units to be distributed, address of the end customer, the type of express service required and any timed deliveries.

The system will intelligently combine this data with details of the relevant Palletways depot and hub operation through which the goods will pass to its final delivery point. At the click of a button all the consignment and delivery information, along with a unique barcode for track and trace purposes, will be printed onto a label.

Cyberstation prepopulates locations where customers make regular deliveries, thereby saving additional time on reentering information.

The technology also enables customers to create reports on all their consignment deliveries and thereby analyse freight moved via the Palletways network.
