Compact crate for flat-screen monitors February 1st 2007 New from PHS Teacrate is a compact computer crate to compliment its range of IT moving equipment for the commercial moving industry. The IT2 has been specifically designed to accommodate the latest flatscreen monitors. The new compact crate provides around 33% extra load capacity, as flat-screen monitors require less crate space than the older cathode ray monitors. The IT2 also allows the equipment to be packed more securely, reducing the risk of damage. Teacrate was the first company to launch the integrally lidded IT1 computer crate, which has proved highly successful. "We developed the new IT2 in response to requests from our commercial moving clients for a smaller IT crate," says national sales manager Nick Burke. "The original IT1 is fine for the older monitors and we'll be keeping it in our range, but with a flat screen system inside the crate was only 75% utilised, and that meant transporting a lot of fresh air, which is very costly. Customers were also worried about the safety of the equipment with so much surplus space. The new IT2 is easier to pack and gives a much more secure ride. I also believe the IT2 will prove to be very popular for other applications as it fits midway between the IT1 and our LC3 standard lidded crate." Teacrate has also introduced a new improved version of its TSS1 flat screen protector. More articles from Limpet Tapes Limited: |
