Box-on-apallet saves a packet

According to goplasticpallets.com, the cost of packing goods and foodstuffs can be significantly reduced by switching from traditional packaging methods to a hygienic plastic pallet-box. As a result the company has launched the GoBox range.

"A pallet-box can result in savings on all packaging expenses, including labelling and labour costs. These containers are made from a light but highly-durable plastic and can be expected to last for ten to fifteen years. Do the sums and you can see how making an investment in long life packaging can make a big difference to the bottom line," says managing director, Jim Hardisty.

The food industry has been among the first to identify the benefits.

Loose ingredients can be transported hygienically and the box can be quickly steam cleaned before being re-used.

However, word is travelling fast. Among the most enlightened are companies dealing in small components, such as the automotive industry, superstores and pharmaceutical operations.
