New collapsible containers

A new range of plastic storage/transit containers is available for short, medium and long term hire from Simons Reeve.

The Hybox expands the company’s returnable transit packaging (RTP) range and is designed principally for the food industry and lighter industrial applications.

Its main benefit is said to be that it is collapsible and therefore saves space on the return journey.

The Hybox can be stacked three high. It has an overall size of 1200mm wide, 1000mm deep and 1100 high and has a 500kg capacity.

Containers consist of an injection moulded pallet base and lid and extruded polypropylene sleeve sides that collapse for storage and return transport. There is a hinged flap for access to the box’s contents.

Simon Burton, managing director of Simons Reeve, comments: ‘The rental side of our business is, for the first time, out-stripping the purchase side of the business as clients realise the flexibility and financial benefits of not tying up assets in materials handling equipment.

‘The Hybox is another valuable addition to our increasing plastic product range.’
