Handling problems solved

Derbyshire-based manufacturer of multiwall polycarbonate sheets, Polyex, has turned to MasterMover International to solve manual handling problems. The company now uses a MasterTug unit to move wheeled trolleys.

The MT5-240 supplied is one of 25 pedestrian operated machines manufactured by MasterMover, which can move loads from 50 to 64,000kg. It is simple to use, compact and manoeuvrable, allowing operators at Polyex to pull and push loads of up to 20 panes of sheeting weighing in excess of 1000kg with ease. Colin Leveridge, technical department comments: ‘Following a free trial of the equipment, we introduced the MasterTug unit which now allows one person to transport goods previously moved by three men. I am extremely pleased with the reliability and performance.’
