Improvements to safety matting
April 1st 2004

A new deeply etched top surface has been designed for Vynagrip industrial safety matting and is said to increase its slip-resistance by more than 70%.

The high rating was verified in independent laboratory tests (using DIN 51130) where the matting is laid on a tilting table and covered with an oily substance.

An assistant wearing calibrated footwear, stands on the surface until the table is lifted to an angle at which sliding begins to occur. The new surface is rated R12, which is equivalent to almost a 30 angle of incline.

Available from Plastic Extruders and manufactured from PVC in a grid-welded format the matting is hard-wearing.

Comfortable to stand on, it is said to help reduce working fatigue which, in turn, increases productivity.
