Segregated storage February 1st 2004 Martindale, a leading supplier of pharmaceutical products, is using a Guardian Hazardous Material
Store for the safe storage of flammable liquids.
A routine fire risk assessment identified the need for the flammables to be segregated in a discrete fire-lined and bunded
store.
Appropriate storage of flammables is governed by fire precaution and CoSHH regulations. Martindale wanted to avoid the potential delays with seeking landlord and planning consent to build a brick store either outside or inside the building. Instead, the company uses a purpose-built relocatable Hazardous Material Store from Guardian Safety Products inside the warehouse.
As well as being bunded and fire-lined, the 4m long building features Zone 1 lighting, grid mesh flooring, three-tier shelving and a high security locking mechanism. Wide double doors and entrance ramp enable pallets to be loaded by forklift if required. More articles from Guardian Safety Products: |
