Hand and finger injury risk reduced
August 1st 2004

As part of a programme to support increased production, Permastore has taken delivery of a Nu-Star Power Pusher to keep its Trumpf Trumatic TC5000R steel press supplied with sheet steel.

The Power Pusher is used to push and pull stacks of steel sheet into and out of the press. The steel sheets vary from two to seven millimetres in thickness and each stack weighs four tonnes.

The Power Pusher has taken all of the physical effort out of this process and reduced the likelihood of any hand/finger injuries which may have resulted from direct handling of the steel sheets, said Permastores Kevin Woods.

Self contained with no trailing air or power lines, the pedestrian operated Power Pusher range can be used to manoeuvre wheeled loads from 500 to over 100,000kg.
