Tailored manual handling solutions
February 1st 2007

The main aim of safer manual handling is to provide improved safety for employees – however companies should also be aware of the significant benefits which can be gained by investing in the right handling solution. The best solutions can substantially reduce absence due to injury and provide improvements in efficiency and throughput, as well as reductions in labour costs.

To meet the requirement for better manual handling solutions, the Clow Group, has introduced a new service – Manual Handling Solutions.

This service provides clients with tailored solutions designed to meet their own particular products and handling requirements. This is achieved using a number of methods including full specialist design and the use of standard lifting equipment where only the end effectors and specialist tooling is made to match clients' specific products.

Richard McAvoy heads up this operation at the Clow Group and, with clients such as Hewlett Packard, IBM and JVC, the Clow Group can provide the expertise and experience to make significant savings and safety improvements to manual handling across a wide range of different operations.
