Free poster and memo
October 1st 2007

Scafftag is offering a free pocket memo on ladders and podiums and a free poster to HSS readers (subject to availability).

The pocket memo provides easy-to-assimilate safety and maintenance information checklists for reference both before and during use. A checklist for ladders is on one side, with podiums on the other.

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause a personal injury. A common misconception is that low-level height work does not represent a potential hazard.

However, whether it is conventional ladders, step ladders, kick stools or podiums, and whether for temporary or fixed access, regular detailed inspections must be carried out and recorded.

Scafftag's visual tagging systems help reinforce the message that equipment must be regularly maintained and certified as such before being used.
