Spaciotempo goes large April 1st 2008 Temporary building specialist,
Spaciotempo has supplied Seafield
Logistics with 2400m2 of additional
storage and handling space.
One of the UK's major third party supply
chain specialists, Seafield Logistics required
an additional warehouse at its
Cambridgeshire distribution centre to
accommodate business growth with one of
its key account customers.
Spaciotempo supplied Seafield Logistics
with two gutter linked 20m x 60m buildings,
providing the extra capacity needed to fulfil
its contract with a global manufacturer of
chocolate and confectionery products.
In order to conform with hygiene
regulations for the storage of food products,
Spaciotempo sealed the inner perimeter of
the facility with UPVC fabric, making it
rodent-proof and preventing contamination.
To support the fast moving operation,
which serves major retailer's distribution
networks across the UK, the new warehouse
is equipped with specially designed fastaction
speed doors, enabling easy access for
MHE operators. The single skin, steel clad
unit also comes complete with a modern
lighting system allowing a 24-hour
operation if required.
Although the largest buildings
Spaciotempo supplied last year, the
£150,000 contract was completed within
four weeks, including manufacturing and
installation.
Seafield Logistics' general manager, Craig
Evans, comments: "Having considered
leasing additional warehousing from a third
party, we found hiring a temporary facility
from Spaciotempo delivered greater
benefits at a lesser cost.
"Offering a complete service,
Spaciotempo was able to provide a bespoke
solution which met the specific
requirements of our operation."
Spaciotempo's extensive product range
can accommodate a variety of logistics
activities, allowing customers to quickly and
cost-effectively expand storage and
handling capacity whilst protecting both
people and products.
Highly flexible, Spaciotempo's buildings
allow the option of removing wall bays,
creating a tunnel or free standing canopy,
whilst gutter linked canopies can
accommodate entire fleets.
Buildings can be hired from three months
up to 20 years and can be modified,
extended, reduced, re-located or removed as
required, giving customers the flexibility to
respond to changing market conditions. More articles from Spaciotempo UK Ltd: |
