Standards won
October 1st 2010 EXDS has announced that in
addition to the NTEP-USA,
Measurement Canada, and NMIAustralia
legal-for-trade
certifications, the CubiScan
150 (from Quantronix) has
obtained equivalent typeapproval
to standards set
by the International
Organization of Legal
Metrology (OIML) and
to the Measuring
Instruments Directive
(MID) of the European Union.
The CubiScan 150 is used to
eliminate freight-carrier "charge-
backs" by automating the
dimensioning and weighing of
parcels in manifesting/shipping
applications. It is user-installable and
serviceable, and is flexible enough to
move anywhere in the warehouse.
It is complemented by
Quantronix's Qbit
data-interface
software, allowing it
to work with virtually
any shipping or WMS
software.
EXDS is the UK reseller of
CubiScan's volumetric products.
