Back-friendly system October 1st 2007 Rusmail Conveyor Systems
has installed a mezzanine
conveyor for Lucas World of
Furniture in Aylesbury. It
was considered to be less
disruptive than installing a
lift, has increased
automation in the
warehouse and drastically
reduced manual handling of
heavier furniture items.
Lucas Furniture opted for
the Rusmail system after
seeing it in action at another
furniture retailer. A key
feature of the system is its
mobile gravity roller,
Expandaveyor, which can be
adjusted in height and angle
to unload vehicles of
different heights.
It can be stowed away
after use to make room for
delivery trucks to park in the
warehouse overnight.
David Lucas, director, says
"With the Rusmail kit we
didn't need to make drastic
adaptations to the building
so that project could be
completed quickly during
our quieter period. The
back-friendly conveyor is
allowing us to take care of
staff and comply with health
and safety requirements." More articles from Rusmail Conveyor Systems Ltd: |
