Accumulation and sideways ploughing on the same belt October 1st 2006 Ammeraal Beltech has introduced the AmFlight modular belt which allows product accumulation and ploughing sideways all on the same belt.
Normally separate conveyors are required to incline/decline and then to plough off. The AmFlight belt combines the advantages of reliable inclining and/or declining along with the opportunity of accumulating or ploughing off sideways all in one conveyor. This means one drive, no tension units, less transfer points and small rollers resulting in a cheaper installation.
On inclines or declines where the flights are required they are activated by a wear strip on the underside of the belt that pushes the flight up into position.
The wear strip on the conveyor remains under the flight as long as they are required. Where the flight is not required the wear strip under the flight is omitted from the conveyor design which allows the flight to fall under gravity. This produces a flat top belt which is then ideal for accumulating or ploughing off.
AmFlights can be fitted in belts for straight conveyors, or belts that are used on conveyors that combine both straight and bend sections. |
