No e-news, as they say, is good e-news – and this month is no different: The budget delivered an unhealthy dose of vampirical tax manoeuvres; last week's BITA AGM left those who attended in little doubt of the contraction of the forklift market (one expert predicted the market won't return to 2002 levels until 2013); and in our office, we suspect Kay has Swine flu. Although this could be just an excuse. She's always ill and like to moan a lot, then leave early.

Oh well. The good news is that HMRC says firms that expect to make a trading loss this year will be able to have the anticipated loss taken into account as part of any rescheduling of its Corporation Tax or Income Tax payments. Also, Cybit has a free white paper, with customer case studies, showing how businesses can offset said vampirical fuel duty rises - and even save money. And, while they won't protect you from Swine flu or vampires, there's also the usual round-up of products designed to provide solutions to storage and handling problems.
